Musée des arts et traditions populaires
L’âge d’or du monde paysan
Une exposition retraçe la vie paysanne de la région durant la première moitié du 20e siècle.
Présentation de l’artisanat, des travaux aux champs, des costumes et d’objets culturels, sur 500 m2.
Localisation : Essé, 11 rue des fées, en direction de Retiers
Ouverture : avril à octobre : dimanches et jours fériés, sur rendez-vous
Juilet et août : tous les jours de 14 h à 18 h
Tarif : 3 €, 1,5 € pour les enfants. Groupe 2,50 €

Musée Édouard Mahé
Une vingtaine d’œuvres (autoportraits, portraits, paysages, natures mortes…) d’Édouard Mahé, peintre figuratif et grand coloriste. Louis Ferdinand Céline qualifiait l’artiste du cru d’« ombrageux et génial ».

Musée de la ferme d’autrefois
Matériel agricole, artisanal et commercial de la fin du 19e - début du 20e siècle.
2 800 m2 d’exposition sur les métiers d’autrefois. Grande collection de tracteurs.
Localisation : Thourie, le Grand Beaumont, à 2 km du bourg, en direction de Lalleu.

The golden age of peasantry
An exhibition shows you the peasant’s life back in the 20th century
You can see craft work, field working, costumes and cultural objects.
Location : Essé, 11 rue des fées, follow Retiers’ direction
Opening hours : from May to October : Sundays and public holidays, ask for appointment
From July to August : every day from 2PM to 6PM

Edouard Mahé Museum
About 20 works of art (self-portraits, portraits, landscapes, still lifes …) by Edouard Mahé, figurative painter and great colourist. Louis Ferdinand Céline used to qualify this local artist as « brilliant shady character »

2800 m² of exhibition about the old days’ jobs. Great collection of tractors
